How our bespoke door design service works
Today, we’re going to explain how our bespoke door design service works, so you can understand the full design process from start to finish. Edwardian front door All of our doors are designed here in our workshop, by our team. Firstly, we'll arrange for somebody from our team to visit your property and carry out a site survey. If you haven’t already given us your requirements over the phone or via email, we'll use this opportunity to understand what you have in mind. If required, we can assess your property and make suggestions based on the period or style of your building. Next, our team member will head back to the workshop and produce a scaled technical drawing of your door. We'll send this on for your approval before we start the manufacture process. We thought it’d be fun to show you some of our previous door designs and compare them side-by-side with the finished product! Click any image to view it full size.
Art Nouveau door design:
We designed this Art Nouveau door for a residential property in Finchley, London. As you can see from the notes on the drawing, we salvaged the property’s existing stained glass panel and encapsulated it into our new door design. We also used the property’s existing frame and glazed transom light. We added an apron rail and fretwork detail above the polished stainless steal letterbox, and a little ‘reeded’ detail beneath. We painted the hardwood door black externally. Internally, we painted the door white, at the client’s request.Contemporary oak door designs:
Our team designed this modern front entrance for a property in Edwalton, Nottinghamshire. The double doors and frame were crafted from oak and given a clear finish. The doors were fitted with double glazed safety glass. We finished the door with complimentary satin finish stainless steel furniture. To see more pictures, click here. As you can see below, we also designed a coordinating single door for the property:Traditional four panel door design:
